In one of our recent projects, we were asked to design and produce something similar to the spherical fire pit concept our client found online. Initially designed as a small 3′ diameter piece for a corporate event, the idea grew into an 8′ diameter head office centerpiece.
With our Canadian winter in mind, combined with the excessive heat produced by the propane fire table, a CORTEN base was chosen to ensure both durability and an asthetic appeal our client was looking for. Cut using state-of-the-art laser technology, and fit together using custom jigs and fixtures, the end result was exactly what our client was looking for.
